AI Resume Reflection

I used Claude AI to create two versions of my resume: one for a healthcare audience and one for an IT audience. I learned in this project that, through the use of AI, a resume can be tailored a specific employer or industry based on what is already in your resume. At first I told Claude to tailor the document to the healthcare and IT industries respectively, but when I found that all the AI did was add a summary to the end of the resume, I asked it to support its pitch for my potential hire throughout the document. This yielded a better result, as my specific strengths that are handy in each sector were spliced in generously so that employers can be sure I am a clear choice for the position. It was also helpful that Claude could censor personal contact information for the purpose of publishing my resume to the internet. Even though the AI only utilized information I gave it, I learned that through careful prompt engineering you can create better sounding arguments to specific audiences for real-world scenarios.
